Tips for Booking Hair & Makeup Pros for Your Destination Wedding

Now that you have booked your wedding venue, next comes booking vendors. Hair and makeup is one of those important factors that will showcase in your pictures. Check out Hair and makeup artist, Anna Nuet, in action, in our Bridal Suite.  Thank you to Julia Eskin for capturing this beautiful photo.

1. Book Beauty After you have booked your Venue

The perks about having your wedding at Huracan Cafe is our Bridal Suite. Most brides don’t realize that many hotels charge vendor fees. If you have a photographer or makeup artists assisting, you will have to purchase a day pass. At Huracan your Hair and Makeup artists can come to our bridal suite to help you get ready without the worry and hassle of a vendor fee.

2. Ask for Advice

Wedding planners usually have referrals for Hair and Makeup.  Nati had worked with hundreds of brides and can give you the best advice and unbiased opinion. Remember, Nati is here to help make your day as seamless as possible.

3. Prep, Prep, Prep

Visit your usual hair stylist and makeup artist and play with different hair styles and looks. Book a consult, take pictures, and have fun. Send your faves to your destination wedding makeup artist and hair stylist.  If you need to grow out your hair, schedule regular trims or look into hair extensions.  Natural makeup is normally recommended because of the humidity and tropical weather.  Makeup artist, Anna Nuet, offers airbrush makeup for a longer lasting gorgeous look.

4. Don’t book any beauty treatments 10 days before your wedding

You want to look your best on your wedding day. Any facials, exfoliation treatments, hair treatments should be done at least a week and a half prior to the wedding. This will allow your skin and hair to look it’s very best on your wedding day.
